Speculative cameras (Nous Autres), 2015
From around 2014 we began designing and building cameras with specific functionalities which would otherwise be too tricky (or too boring!) to replicate with traditional (purely lens-based) photographic methods. Together they form a body of work we refer to as "speculative cameras", but it should be noted that each camera is fully functional. 'Nous Autres', the first of these cameras, was intended to be used by two people simultaneously, automatically combining their portraits and publishing the results to social media platforms.
