Situational Library Workshop, 2012
Installation of thousands of deaccessioned books at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art in 2012, and at ISEA2013, along with public workshops on the present future of the language, books and the archives which hold them. The public was invited to add their unwanted books to the installation, and in return take any book they wanted. The original 10,000 books were provided by the City Library, which would have otherwise destroyed them. Custom-made library tools such as stamps with the words "The Situational Library" were provided for the public to use on the books.
