Michael and his Histories (Exhibition), 2008
An exhibition of photographic portraits of Michael, a friend who enjoyed exploring identity through costumes that he would create from materials he gathered from the streets of Milan, often found while dog-sitting for others. Michael experienced periods of homelessness and struggled with adversity during the period he posed for these images, between 2003 and 2008, and his regular visits to our studio often included long discussions where he shared his perspectives of the world and its histories. A series of images were exhibited in a solo show at the SENKO Gallery, in Viborg, Denmark, 2008.
